Jenna Dewan Shares Adorable Snap of Her 6-Month-Old Son Callum: 'Focus on the Love'

Jenna Dewan is loving every minute spent with her little boy.

Posting to Instagram on Sunday, the 39-year-old actress and dancer shared a shot where she posed happily beside her 6-month-old son, Callum Michael Rebel, as the two enjoyed a day by the pool together.

Holding her infant son close to her as the pair both smiled at each other, Dewan donned a black top with a long and lightly colored bathing suit cover-up, as she captioned her post, "Focus on the love," alongside two red heart emojis.

A slew of Dewan's famous friends wrote in the comment section of the post, including Kimberly Van Der Beek, who said, "Pumpkin and his goddess mama," as Kelly Ripa commented a simple pair of two heart emojis.

RELATED: Jenna Dewan Opens Up About 'Incredible' Yet 'Challenging' Experience Breastfeeding Son Callum

Dewan — who welcomed her son into the world with her fiancé Steve Kazee in March — has been using social media amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic to document time spent with her baby boy as he continues to grow.

In August, Dewan and her Broadway beau, 44, proved that Callum may have inherited his Tony-winning dad's love for music in a video Kazee previously shared to his Instagram Story.

The cute footage began with Callum seated on what is presumably Dewan's lap as Kazee worked the camera. After he is heard sweetly saying to his son, "What? Tell me," the baby boy hit a button on the play guitar in front of him — which emitted a fun little tune that brought a big smile to Callum's face.

"Baby's first riff," Kazee wrote on top of the video. "Takes after his daddy!"

Last month, Dewan said that Kazee has been "the most incredible father" to their son as she reflected on their time together during the COVID-19 crisis.

"We've been home together now every single day for over 400 days and still going…This man is the most incredible father, takes care of all of us, this entire house, EVERYTHING," she wrote at the time.

"He is on his third night of taking the night shift with Callum so I can get rest," Dewan shared. "He is sexy fatherhood personified."

The actress, who is also mom to 7-year-old daughter Everly, went on to express how grateful she has been to have Kazee around during this time.

"What a wild ride this past year has been and I find myself feeling absolute gratitude we've been given this time together, to laugh, to work through all the inevitable triggers of quarantine + newborn," she wrote, "and to still want nothing more than to sit on your lap and love you hard❤️."

Kazee shared the same sentiment in the comments section, replying to Dewan, "Here's to 4,000,000,000,000,000 more together. ❤️."

Dollar Store items that are actually cheaper at Walmart

Dollar stores have a well-established reputation for stocking the most affordable items across the board. The clue, after all, is in the name. Most frugal shoppers may take it for granted that the best deals are available at discount chains like Dollar Tree, Dollar General, and Family Dollar. “Once seen as dumping grounds for liquidated and off-brand merchandise,” The Washington Post notes, “today’s dollar stores often buy their inventory from major manufacturers.” But in today’s world, you can spot good deals pretty much everywhere.

Going to dollar stores used to be a novel idea, but much of this reputation has to do with good marketing, rather than it necessarily being based on facts. And several shopping blogs have pointed out that there are actually better bargains to be found at other shops, with every store from Walmart to Publix and even Trader Joe’s boasting great deals on their products.

Don’t get us wrong, there are still discounts to be found in your local dollar store, but — particularly when it comes to the weekly grocery shop — you’re best advised to look elsewhere. When it comes to the following items, in fact, you can actually find them cheaper at Walmart.

Family supplies are more reasonably priced at Walmart

If you’re wondering how to further save on your weekly shopping outing, Cheapism lists some everyday family favorites that you can pick up for a lower price at Walmart than at Dollar Tree. For example, salsa and canned beans are both available cheaper there: Walmart charges about 9.28 cents per ounce of salsa compared to Dollar Tree’s 12.5 cents, while the canned beans retail for about 73 cents each at Walmart and $1 each at Dollar Tree, saving savvy shoppers over 25 percent.

Parents looking to stock up on those all-important sandwich bags for school lunches stand to save about 40 percent at Walmart, where their Great Value Double Zipper sandwich bags are priced at $5.34 for 300 (or just 1.8 cents each)Likewise, disposable diapers retail for 35 percent less at Walmart through their Parent’s Choice house band.

Meanwhile, breakfast cereal is available for $2.74 for a 20-ounce box at Walmart, compared to $1 for just a 5.5-ounce box of the same brand at Dollar Tree — a no-brainer. And although Top Ramen is cheap pretty much everywhere, at Walmart you can buy a 12-pack or $1.94 — a 17 percent saving over a five-pack for $1 at Dollar Tree.

These everyday items are cheaper at Walmart than at the Dollar Store

According to Cheapism‘s handy list, you can even save on pet products at Walmart, compared to prices at Dollar Tree. Both dry dog food and dog treats work out much cheaper at the former store, particularly if you choose to buy in bulk, as most owners do regardless. A five-pound bag of Cesar, for example, retails for $8.47 at Walmart, which is a 64 percent saving in comparison with the $1 you’d spend at Dollar Tree for a 3.58-ounce serving. Likewise, Alpo Variety Snaps Little Bites can be purchased in five-ounce bags at Dollar Tree for $1, or in 60-ounce bags for $4.92 at Walmart.

Generally speaking, Fun Cheap or Free advises that shoppers avoid purchasing any canned food, vitamins, or medication at their local dollar store, because it tends to work out a higher price per ounce than it does at other grocery stores. Meanwhile, Living on a Dime has reported that there are only a handful of specific items that are actually cheaper to buy at Dollar Tree (including products like seeds, party supplies, and cleaners). However, when it comes to other everyday items, it looks as though Walmart may just be your best bet.

'It was Terrible,' Plus More Unfiltered Celebrity Confessions About Postpartum Sex

Nikki Bella

Nikki revealed to sister Brie on The Bellas Podcast that she and fiancé Artem Chigvintsev “didn’t even make it to the six-week point” and started having sex after five weeks, following the birth of their first child together, son Matteo.

“I was like I’m healed, I’m fine,” Nikki said. “Even though last night it didn’t seem fine, but that’s okay. It was a little different.”

“I felt like organs were about to drop out,” she added. “I was like, shoot, did I mess up?”

“Okay Nicole, enough about all the gross stuff going on with our vaginas, especially yours,” Brie joked in response.

According to the Mayo Clinic, there is no agreed-upon period of time required by doctors before women should begin having sex again after giving birth, but “many health care providers recommend waiting to have sex until four to six weeks after delivery, regardless of the delivery method.”

Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi

The Jersey Shore: Family Vacation star, who gave birth to her third child Angelo in May 2019, said she “waited six weeks” with daughter Giovanna and son Lorenzo to have sex with husband Jionni LaValle on the Women on Top podcast.

“I waited six weeks with my two older kids because I ripped. This third delivery I didn’t rip probably because I had two kids so my vagina is huge, I guess,” the mom of three said.

“Actually, it doesn’t feel that bad down there. But I still want to wait just in case something happens and I do rip during sex. But after you have a baby vaginally and then have sex, it doesn’t feel right at first,” Polizzi shared.

“It feels like you are a virgin again. It just hurts. It’s uncomfortable. It starts to feel good after you get into the motions, but you need a lot of lube, let’s just put it that way,” she added.

Eva Amurri

The actress, who shares sons Mateo Antoni, Major James and daughter Marlowe Mae with ex-husband Kyle Martino, shared her thoughts on sex after a baby in an essay for PEOPLE in 2015.

“Like the majority of women, when I birthed Marlowe I tore. Badly. Let’s suffice to say I needed a lot of stitches and the healing process was worse than the birth itself,” Amurri wrote. “By the time the famous ‘six week mark’ came around I was totally NOT ready to hop back in the saddle.”

At around nine weeks, the star put aside her exhaustion and anxiety to have sex with then-husband Martino … “and it was TERRIBLE,” she wrote.

“In my opinion, having sex for the first time after birthing a baby feels like having sex for the first time ever,” she explained. “It’s awkward, emotional, and extremely painful.” (Don’t worry – she writes further that it gets better!)

Tanner Tolbert

A month after Jade and Tanner Tolbert welcomed their second child Brooks Easton in July 2019, Tanner got candid on Nick Viall’s podcast, admitting that he felt like he’s “begged” for sex. The Bachelor in Paradise alum said that his relationship with wife Jade had “changed completely” since having kids (they’re also parents to eldest daughter Emmy Avery) and that he wants to have sex more now, while Jade “wants it less.”

“[Our sex life] took a dive [while Jade was nursing], and then pretty much right after the breastfeeding stopped, we got pregnant again with Brooks,” he shared. “And now he’s here and we have two kids. It is tough. I feel like I’ve begged for it. And I don’t want to feel selfish — I hate asking, I hate trying, ’cause I don’t want it to be pity sex.”

That being said, he respects his wife’s priorities and they have honest conversations about it, recognizing that her focus “should be on the kids, not me.” But regardless, “I do feel on the back burner,” Tanner added.

Jamie Otis

On a September episode of their Hot Marriage. Cool Parents. podcast, the Married at First Sight stars Otis and Doug Hehner told listeners that they “still haven’t had sex” since son Hendrix Douglas was born on May 13, due to a combination of health-related factors on Otis’ end.

“[Someone] said, ‘Jamie, you don’t put out,’ and I wanna be like, ‘Excuse me, girlfriend. First of all, I had a 9 lb., 4 oz., baby tear me to shreds downstairs and then at my six-week appointment, I had to have a colposcopy, so I couldn’t have sex again for two weeks,” said the new mother of two. “And then I had [another medical] procedure and couldn’t have sex again for two weeks.”

And while Otis called her husband “the most patient man in the world,” she revealed that she feels like “a completely different person” after having baby number two and can’t quite explain how she feels, but she is feeling “insecure and shy” at the moment.

“It’s not okay, and I’m trying to figure it out,” she added.

Kelly Rowland

After son Titan came into the picture in November 2014, the star said that parenthood brought her and husband Tim Weatherspoon closer, and that she was ready to get things “rocking again” postpartum.

“You know, that six-week period [after childbirth] feels like forever, and as a gentleman — [Tim’s] very gentle, so he wanted to give me a little more space. I’m like, ‘No,'” she joked to ET. “‘Let’s go!’ I’m still a mom and it doesn’t matter… I’m a woman and I have physical needs.”

Whitney Port

The Hills star said she struggled to be intimate with husband Tim Rosenman after giving birth to son Sonny Sanford in July 2017.

“When we were just starting to be intimate again after we had Sonny, I was really, really, really self-conscious,” Port revealed on her podcast With Whit. “I was self-conscious about my boobs and my nipples because they were just engorged and uncomfortable and misshaped and so huge.”

She continued, “I remember that being a bit of an inhibitor to our sex life because I wasn’t fully able to enjoy myself because I was so self-conscious of what he was thinking about my body at that time.”

Port shared that her body felt “a little bit back to normal” once she was done breastfeeding her son. She and Rosenman’s intimacy then strengthened.

“Give yourself a little bit of a break in the beginning. You may feel self-conscious about getting back into bed with him,” she told her listeners. “I would try not to spiral.”

Kourtney Kardashian

The now-mom of three told sister Kim that having sex after son Mason Disick was born was “very painful,” in a 2010 episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, HuffPost reported.

“Most people can have sex six weeks after, but the doctor told me to wait two months,” said Kourtney.

“Why?” Kim asked.

“I don’t know, but once the doctor gave us the okay, we were like excited to try it, but it was very painful,” Kourtney said. “It felt like a metal pole is literally ramming you in the crotch.”

Pink

The singer got super candid about parenthood with husband Carey Hart and their two kids Willow and Jameson, in a October 2017 interview with The Guardian

“There are moments where I look at [Hart] and he is the most thoughtful, logical, constant … he’s like a rock. He’s a good man. He’s a good dad. He’s just the kind of dad I thought he’d be and then some,” she said. “And then I’ll look at him and go: I’ve never liked you. There’s nothing I like about you. We have nothing in common. I don’t like any of the s–t you like. I don’t ever wanna see you again. Then two weeks later I’m like, things are going so good, you guys.”

“Then you’ll go through times when you haven’t had sex in a year. Is this bed death? Is this the end of it? Do I want him? Does he want me?” she continued, before adding, “Monogamy is work! But you do the work and it’s good again.”

Method:

Stand straight on a flat even ground with your feet comfortably apart. Turn your right foot to face outside while keeping the heel inwards. Both heels should be in a straight line.

Inhale and bend your body from your hip to the right and raise your left arm straight up. Meanwhile, your right hand can either rest on your ankle or shin or even on the mat if you are comfortable.

Keeping your head in line with your torso, you can gaze up at your left palm if comfortable. With every exhale, Malaika suggested to let the body relax a little more.

The fitness enthusiast warned that this exercise is not for those suffering from neck or back injuries, migraine or low/high blood pressure.

Kimberly Van Der Beek on Education Plan for Her 5 Kids, Says Traditional School Is 'Imprisonment'

Kimberly Van Der Beek is opening up about her own methods of homeschooling.

Speaking on The Make Down podcast, the mother of five said she and actor husband James Van Der Beek have "done many variations" of teaching, including the "traditional homeschooling" at their house and hired teachers as well a "homeschool co-op at another friend's house."

"It was a really beautiful experience, there were a few teachers and it was incredible," she said, advising those wanting to homeschool their kids on their own to not "stress yourself out."

Kimberly, who is mom to daughters Gwendolyn, 2, Emilia, 4, Annabel Leah, 6, and Olivia, 9½, as well as 8-year-old son Joshua, also shared her perspective on the education and school systems.

"I think way too much is put on kids. I look at school, to be honest with you, as a form of imprisonment, where they spend hours of their day being told what to care about and what to learn," Van Der Beek said. "We want strong children that are creative, self-sufficient, can make their own decisions, but we put them like a lineup of kids, moving them from subject to subject, activity to activity."

Never miss a story — sign up for PEOPLE's free daily newsletter to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from juicy celebrity news to compelling human interest stories

Citing how children are taught in Finland, she explained how "most kids are ready to start learning the alphabet at the age of seven yet we're trying to get them to already be reading at the age of seven," adding, "I really took to the Finnish school system as an example of how I personally wanted to teach my kids."

Van Der Beek first applied the Finnish way of education with her eldest child. "Olivia was drawing stories until the age of seven/seven-and-a-half and she was considered way behind in reading," she said. "I don't consider her behind at all, I consider her to be a creative child that just doesn't want to do that yet."

And she clarified her own homeschooling methods. "I think reading is an incredibly valuable tool so I don't want to sway somebody from teaching their kid to learn how to read. But my point is, she didn't spend four years of her life slaving over it," Van Der Beek explained. "She learned and she's where every other kid is and 'where the other kids are at' for her age. She spent all those other years drawing pictures and books."

By sharing her homeschooling technique, the parent of five hoped to broaden the ways others may think about educating young children. "While I'm saying these things, it's to inspire or expand someone's thought processes. It is not to invite guilt into your life because … especially our first child is the guinea pig. Like Olivia, I used to put her on a swing in front of a TV so that I could sleep when she was a baby. I wouldn't even dream of doing that to a child, like how terrible was that? We all make mistakes, we do what we do," she said. "It's just another thought process to expand the way we think about education because we're in a real interesting time right now where we can move into education differently with a different approach. As long as we're learning reading, writing, math, a kid can venture out where their passions are."

Aside from homeschooling, Van Der Beek has been changing her previous notions about video games, specifically for her son Joshua.

"I don't like them, I'm not a fan. But in February, my son said to me, 'Mom, I really want to play video games. My friends play video games, they meet up with each other on video games.' He said, 'I have four sisters, I think it's time that you listen to me.' And I said, 'You know what, it's time to put my ideals aside and include you in your own decision-making process.' So for his birthday in March, we got him the Nintendo Switch," she recalled.

But his video game playing is not without being cautious. "Sometimes he plays games with his friends on there and sometimes he plays on the iPad. Now granted, I don't like it happening too often, but if he goes unchecked, he would play that thing all day," she said. "So for the first two days, he played it all day. On the third day, he said, 'Mommy, I feel like I'm getting a little addicted to my game and it doesn't feel good. Will you help me?' "

Citing a study about how kids could become "rambunctious" due to excessive video game playing, Van Der Beek said she has been monitoring his mood changes. "On days where he plays video games, his behavior changes for the rest of the day. I'm going to let him figure out what feels good and not in his body," she said.

Watch Kate Hudson's Daughter Rani Sing 'Happy Birthday' to Herself After 'Practicing' for 'Months'

Rani Rose is 2 — and might just be on her way to a singing career!

Kate Hudson and Danny Fujikawa's daughter celebrated her golden birthday on Friday by showing off her impressive vocal talents, belting out "Happy Birthday" in honor of her newest age milestone.

Rani got most of the way through the song on her own, needing just a slight reminder from her mom off-camera about whose name to use in the "Happy birthday to … " part. The toddler even blew out her "candle" at the very end — that is to say, a wooden block tower that went tumbling to the floor — before clapping, a big smile on her face.

Hudson, 41, praised her youngest child and only daughter in the caption, calling her a "spirited lady" who is "bright," "verbal" and "excited to be a part of all little moments."

"Squeals with delight at the sight of her tea cups and watches me intently when I put on my make up," the actress continued. "Not a fan of wet grass but any kind of disdain really never lasts long. She discovered 'funny faces' and loves to know she can make people happy as she scrunches her face and simply says 'funny!' "

Spirited lady, bright and verbal. Excited to be apart of all little moments. Squeals with delight at the sight of her tea cups and watches me intently when I put on my make up. Not a fan of wet grass but but any kind of disdain really never lasts long. She discovered “funny faces” and loves to know she can make people happy as she scrunches her face and simply says “funny!” She’s sings on key and dances like she’s attached to the earth. She speaks so loud I could hear her a block away. She loves to put lotion on everything and watching her delicately wash my mother’s hands yesterday was like seeing nature at it’s grandest and most empathetic. Rani Rose has graced our world for 2 years today! I relish in every moment. Happy Birthday to my little girl! Can’t wait to celebrate her. She’s been practicing happy birthday for months, now she gets to take the stage 😉💝

Hudson — who's also mom to sons Bingham "Bing" Hawn, 9, and Ryder Russell, 16 — opened up to PEOPLE in August about her three children, revealing that "they're all completely different eaters."

"Rani will eat anything — like, her whole being is about food," she said. "I feel like she's going to be a chef. She loves food and she'll eat anything."

As for how she gets them to eat healthy? "I cook what they're eating," the actress, who was launching INBLOOM, a line of supplements, told PEOPLE.

"I'm a bit old school like that. If Bing really has a fit and can't do it, then I'll maybe cook him something separately, but they get what they get," she added, noting that she has "too many kids" to make exceptions all the time.

Study Says COVID-19 Symptoms Often Appear in a Certain Order (Though Not Always)

COVID-19 has always been tricky to identify because the symptoms easily overlap with the common cold, flu, and even allergies. Even more confusing? Some people experience no symptoms at all.

To better understand how COVID-19 manifests and progresses, a team of researchers at the University of Southern California attempted to figure out the most common order in which symptoms appear.

Their study, which was recently published in the journal Frontiers in Public Health, analyzed the rates of COVID-19 symptom incidences. They used data collected from the World Health Organization of more than 55,000 novel coronavirus cases in China, as well as a dataset of nearly 1,100 cases collected by the National Health Commission of China.

Based on their findings, the researchers determined that this is the most likely order that someone will experience COVID-19 symptoms:

When they expanded their analysis to include additional symptoms, the order still looked similar:

The researchers also compared the likely progression of COVID-19 symptoms against the flu and found that the flu was more likely to start with a cough instead of a fever. People with the flu were also more likely to have body aches, headache, and a sore throat before developing a fever, they discovered.

In turn, these results “support the notion” that fever should be used to screen people for COVID-19 before they’re allowed into buildings. “Additionally, our findings suggest that good clinical practice should involve recording the order of symptom occurrence in COVID-19 and other diseases,” the authors wrote.

But infectious disease experts say the order of your COVID-19 symptoms doesn’t paint the whole picture.

William Schaffner, M.D., an infectious disease specialist and professor at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine says the results of this study are “very interesting,” but emphasizes that “it’s not going to be universal. We know, for starters, that a number of people don’t have a fever.”

What’s more, there’s the issue of recall bias, which is when patients have a hard time remembering exactly when something happened. “It’s common with these kind of things,” says Amesh A. Adalja, M.D., senior scholar at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security. “You won’t be able to tell people, ‘You have COVID-19 because you had symptoms in this order versus a different order.’”

Anderson Cooper Says His Son Wyatt and Andy Cohen's Son Ben Met in Person a 'Couple Weeks Ago'

Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen's sons have finally met in person!

On Friday's episode of Live with Kelly and Ryan, Cooper revealed that his 5-month-old son Wyatt Morgan had recently become acquainted with his close friend Cohen's son Benjamin Allen, 19 months, for the first time in person since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic.

"They met for the first time a couple weeks ago, up in Connecticut. It was cool," said the CNN anchor, 53.

While he's not sure "if Wyatt even understands who [Ben] is" at this juncture, Cooper added that his baby boy was "sort of fascinated" by the toddler anyway.

"And Benjamin was very sweet with him," recalled the proud dad. "He kept poking him."

Anderson Cooper Shares Adorable Selfie with Son Wyatt, 5 Months: "He Is Such a Happy Baby"

Kelly Ripa, who was celebrating her 50th birthday on the show Friday, said that Wyatt is "the only good thing that has happened in 2020 … from [her] perspective" and that he has "given [her] a reason to wake up in the morning."

"I feel like it's woken me up," Cooper said of fatherhood. "I've always felt like my life hadn't really begun, which is ridiculous, but suddenly you wake up and you're like, 'This is what it's all about. There's nothing more important than this.' I'm just incredibly blessed and lucky."

Ripa, a close friend of Cooper, also quipped that she has "decided that [she is] Wyatt's grandma, in place of" Cooper's late mother, Gloria Vanderbilt.

The "grandma" role is also one enjoyed by Ben, as Cohen, 52, revealed in a Friday post wishing Ripa a happy birthday. "Happy Birthday beautiful @kellyripa ♥️ ☀️ a timeless lady … great friend, meemaw to Ben, and angel of the morning!" wrote the Watch What Happens Live host. "Let the good times keep rolling and rolling."

While last month may have marked Ben and Wyatt's first in-person meeting, their dads technically introduced them to each other for the first time virtually on Father's Day back in June.

"I thought it would be fun if they met right now. Look, that's gonna be your good buddy Wyatt," said Cohen to Ben during an episode of WWHL, gesturing toward the screen.

The television stars then had a short banter about Wyatt's adorable striped ensemble ("Your little baby is singing Édith Piaf wearing that outfit," Cohen joked), before giving a preview of what their future friendship could be like.

"Ben, this is Wyatt. This is Wyatt Cooper. He's gonna be your good buddy," the Bravo star continued, addressing his son. "That's gonna be your good buddy and we're gonna travel together. And if you like him half as much as I like his daddy, you're gonna be great friends."
